Greystones Junior Feva Event 2010 – 23rd July
As preparation for the RSFeva Nationals in August, the Junior Training team in Greystones opted to run a Feva regatta as a taster. Inspite of many boats from Howth, RIYC and the NYC being unable to attend between Irish College, holidays and heading off for the Worlds in Carnac, the day kicked off with 5 boats from the George and sixteen from Greystones rigging under a very still anenometer with the forecast varying from 2 to 12 knots and shifting through 180 degrees . All but two of the Greystones Fevas were taking to the water, with a range of ability across the fleet and many crews never having sailed together. There was relief for the organisers as the ISA training centre flag started to flutter in the very light North Easterly sneaking around Bray Head and the briefing got underway.

RS Nationals:
Well done to Fiachra and his team - The RS Nationals went really well.
Advance organisation and membership co-operation was key to this with all sorts rostered for duties ranging from traffic management, registration, burger grilling, bar duty, sandwich making, cleaning, safety boat, washing up, pen clearance, shoremaster, results, and so on........... Joe Taylor brought his yacht down from Dun Laoghaire for the weekend as the Committee boat which was well manned with experienced seafarers to oversee proceedings under OOD, Francis Donnelly's watchful eye.
