Once again, GSC will participate with the nationwide community of yacht & sailing clubs, in Darkness Into Light on Saturday 11th May. This powerful event, organized by Pieta, brings hope and support to those impacted by suicide and self-harm. Let’s come together as one Community, sailing, paddling or walking to make #WavesOfHope! For the first time, Greystones is an official Darkness into Light venue and will join over 200 other events nationwide.
Sailing instructions:
Assuming favourable conditions, all sea craft, sailing boats, dinghies, motorboats, kayaks and fishing boats should be on the water, at the entrance of Greystones Harbour, at 4:45am.
The fleet, led by Another Adventure, will form a flotilla and travel in a single line formation, heading south, passing St David’s, towards the south beach.
This will be timed to coordinate with those walking and is an impressive sight. All boats should be lit up appropriately and please wear yellow to mark the occasion. Lifejackets must be worn and sea rescue will be in operation.
