For 55 years Greystones Sailing Club has provided competitive sailing to the local community . Originally dinghy sailing but extended to keelboat racing from the opening of the new marina in 2013.
Greystones continues to welcome large numbers of new residents to the community every year and Greystones Sailing Club extends that welcome to join our sailing community. In particular we invite all those that sailed elsewhere or before to revisit the enjoyment of been out on the water amongst a competitive fleet of yachts and dinghies.
There is a comprehensive training program to introduce children to sailing but for adults that already have experience there are dinghies and yachts waiting to welcome you as crew. The club also has a small fleet of club dinghies if you are ready to return as a skipper.
We race dinghies on Wed evenings with a first gun at 19.30 and Sat mornings starting at 10.30. The dinghy fleet is made up of RS 400s and 200s , Wafarers , GP 14s, Lasers and some Enterprises.
Our Keelboat fleet race Thursday evenings , first gun 19.25 and Sat afternoons with a 14.00 start. The keelboat fleet is split by size and rating and all boats warmly welcome crew with a little experience.
Of course sailing is only half the story with a welcoming bar awaiting crews as they come ashore and an opportunity to join over 250 fellow residents that enjoy the social community that defines Greystones Sailing Club.
